Sadly, They Don’t Built Homes Like The Metz Anymore

For someone like me who has been in the real estate industry for almost a decade, it can be quite disheartening that our quality of living and home-ownership have been comprised on some level – due to the scarcity of land and the need to house more than 5.6 million people on this tiny little island.
I understand that this is inevitable, and our housing market may end up being a replica of Hong Kong’s (I seriously hope not!).
Recently, I was approached by one of my clients to rent out her 1-bedroom at The Metz – located along Devonshire Road.
When I stepped into the apartment, honestly, I was stunned! For 570 square feet, it looked really huge!
This 1-bedroom apartment at The Metz has probably the most ideal layout for single professionals or couples.
The spacious living area was able to fit a good-sized sofa, a coffee table and it even has enough room for a 4-seater dining table. It has an enclosed kitchen, high ceilings and massive windows which make the apartment’s interior look really bright!
The bedroom could even fit a king-sized bed easily!
The main highlight has to be the view from the apartment. At 23rd floor, the apartment overlooks the city skyline of the entire Somerset precinct.
Despite a soft rental market here in Singapore, I was able to get it out within a week.
